HlGH PERFORMANCE
Special attention has been paid to the selection
of seals and wear rings to minimize friction in
comparison to conventional actuators. This
allows greater sensitivity for small position
changes combined with high speed capability.
Designed for 3000-psi maximum operating
pressure.
RUGGED AND RELlABLE
Field experience has been incorporated into
the design of the Sharpe actuator, making it
ideal for rugged environments such as
sawmills. Each actuator is flushed and tested
before delivery to the customer.
INTEGRAL TRANSDUCER MOUNTING
The actuator rod is rifle drilled and the blind
head is tapped to accept a Temposonic TM or
equivalent type linear displacement
transducer. A transducer magnet is attached
to the piston lock nut.
EASY INSTALLATION
The Sharpe servo actuator is a pre-engineered
assembly which eliminates the need for
additional hydraulic manifolds and plumbing
between the control valve and the cylinder.
Manifolds are provided to suit servo and
proportional valves.
CONTROLS
Complete systems including electronic controls are available. Manual or Automatic modes can be selected to control the actuators exact position or motion. |
FLEXIBILITY
A variety of mounting styles are available
including:
front flange
front, rear and mid-trunnion
various styles of foot mount
bores of 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3.25", 4"
HIGH PRESSURE FILTER
filter bolts directly to the servo manifold.
SAE 4 bolt flange.
40 gpm filter.
1 micron nominal.
3 micron absolute.
can be rotated in 90 degree increments
to accommodate mounting clearance
constraints
OPTIONAL ACCESSORlES:
trunnion bracket assemblies
transducer guard
custom manifolds such as counterbalance
(load holding) and relief/anti-cavitation plus transition plates to adapt ISO3 and ISO5 pattern valves to manifolds with Moog 62-1XX and Moog 78-1XX pattern valves
custom rod end mounting assemblies
EASY SEAL REPLACEMENT:
Most models of Sharpe actuators are designed
to allow for service of the rod gland without
disturbing the tie rods. This permits quick and
easy replacement of the rod wiper, seals and
gland.
